Strategic Implementation Activities for Accelerating Ending the HIV Epidemic Efforts Series: Strategic Communications and Education for Improving PrEP Uptake

On July 13, 2023, NASTAD hosted the second webinar in a four-part webinar series, "Strategic Implementation Activities for Accelerating Ending the HIV Epidemic Efforts.” The series highlights innovative approaches currently being employed by Phase 1 Jurisdictions for Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) activities. Presenters share strategies for advancing EHE activities across the four pillars, expanding PrEP awareness and uptake, maximizing funding and partnerships for addressing the syndemics, and supporting implementation efforts through a status neutral framework.

The second webinar, “Strategic Communications and Education for Improving PrEP Uptake”, focused on activities for increasing PrEP education, awareness, and utilization through social media, marketing, and provider education. Panelists from the Florida Department of Health in Broward County, Orange County, and Hillsborough County shared their approaches to expanding PrEP in their jurisdictions.
