Primary Care Provider Training Models for HCV Management

In the era of Direct Acting Antivirals (DAAs), people can be cured with few side effects and incredibly high success rates in primary care settings. Despite the ease of treatment, we have seen numerous barriers to treatment access one of which is not having enough primary care providers who can or want to treat. Provider education and training is critical to expanding access to diagnosis and cure for HCV. This webinar highlighted models for primary care provider training for HCV management from CDC’s Test and Cure project grantees including Johns Hopkins University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Washington.
