Overdose Response Resource Walkthrough

Throughout the pandemic, people who use drugs and service providers have struggled with conflicting public health guidance: to isolate and keep distance from others to prevent COVID-19 transmission, and to never use drugs alone in order to prevent fatal overdose. Remote supervision services, like the BeSafe Community app and the Never Use Alone hotline, can provide real-time connection and emergency response in the event of an unattended overdose, as well as peer connection and harm reduction support. In this webinar, Brave Coop demonstrated the app’s capabilities and share their own development, community engagement, and implementation processes. They  also discussed real-world crisis response tools that can be implemented in direct-service settings.
