Models for Implementing Hepatitis C Treatment On-Site at Syringe Services Programs (SSPs)

November 7th, 2018

Successful efforts to eliminate HCV must include strategies to provide curative therapy for persons who inject drugs. Syringe services programs provide an ideal, low-threshold venue in which to reach persons who inject drugs with curative treatment and prevention education. This webinar highlighted different models for providing HCV treatment to persons who inject drugs on-site at SSPs. Presenters discussed how SSPs can offer treatment, alongside harm reduction services, with different strategies to manage insurance billing and clinical staffing.
