Leveraging The Housing Service System Through Planning and Coordination

In 2016, 8.8% of RWHAP clients had temporary housing and 5.2% had unstable housing situations.  People living with HIV (PLWH) utilizing Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) services with unstable housing consistently have lower viral suppression rates than those with temporary or stable housing. 

Through a collaboration with HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD), Office of HIV Housing (OHH), the National AIDS Housing Coalition (NAHC) and NASTAD the following webinar, Leveraging the Housing Service System through Planning and Coordination, aims to assist RWHAP recipients understand and leverage the existing housing service system to better serve PLWH experiencing unstable housing.  Participants will learn about the impact of unstable housing on PLWH in the RWHAP, HUD programs that serve low-income individuals and families, and the ways in which RWHAP recipient can engage in housing planning processes.
