Advances in HIV and HCV Testing
NASTAD and the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) hosted a webinar on advances in HIV and HCV testing that highlighted opportunities for health department prevention and linkage programs. Mark Pandori, PhD, Director, Alameda County Public Health Laboratory provided an overview of HIV and HCV technologies, including new and emerging technologies and their potential applications in public health programs. Dr. Carolyn Wester, Medical Director, HIV, STD, & Viral Hepatitis, Tennessee Department of Health shared how her health department uses various testing technologies and strategies in their prevention and linkage programs, as well as future plans and challenges.
