Juan Tirado (WHOOAHN Tih-RAH-doh), they/them/theirs, is an associate on the Drug User Health team. They triage technical assistance (TA) requests received by the National Harm Reduction Technical Assistance Center and manage internal and partner TA systems. They support the provision of Capacity Building Assistance (CBA), TA requests, and harm reduction education for health departments and community-based organizations. Juan brings 5 years of experience in communications, crisis counseling and intervention, and trauma-informed care to their role at NASTAD. They graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s in psychology and music, and a minor in art.
