RFP: Project Management, Prevention/Health Systems Integration

Position Title: Consultant, Project Management

Location: Remote

Report To: Director, Prevention/Director, Health Systems Integration


NASTAD seeks a project management consultant to work with NASTAD as it provides technical assistance to health departments identified as “Phase 1 Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) jurisdictions.”

The project management consultant will work with NASTAD staff and programmatic consultants in the development of NASTAD’s new Housing Learning Collaborative, a telePrEP E-learning course, and other TA activities across the Prevention and Health Systems Integration teams. NASTAD currently utilizes a virtual learning community format to assist select EHE jurisdictions in implementing innovative programs through cross-state technical assistance, including the TelePrEP E-Learning Collaborative (TLC). NASTAD will utilize materials and feedback from the first two cohorts of the TLC to create a virtual, self-paced e-learning course.

Performance Period: September 2021 – September 29, 2023. The consultant will work using a cost-reimbursement model based on the negotiated hourly rate throughout the contract period.


Experience/ Education

  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple consultants and vendors, including subject matter experts, video production teams, graphic designers, etc.
  • Experience using learning management systems (LMS)
  • Experience developing online learning collaboratives or e-learning courses
  • Experience coordinating activities across functional teams and gaining staff buy-in
  • Comfort working under strict time constraints
  • Comfort working on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to coach program-focused staff on project management tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with core public health principles and terms
  • Detail focused and goal oriented

Environment and Scheduling

  • Interest in working with an HIV and hepatitis public health organization
  • Interest in working within a diverse environment
  • This is a contractual position to be used on an as needed basis to complete contract deliverables. This position is not full-time.
