RFP: Consultant, E-Learning

Position Title: Consultant, E-Learning

Location: Remote

Report To: Director, Prevention

JOB SUMMARY

NASTAD seeks an E-Learning consultant to work with NASTAD as it provides technical assistance to health departments identified as “Phase 1 Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) jurisdictions.”

The E-Learning consultant will work with NASTAD staff in the development of NASTAD’s new e-learning courses. NASTAD currently utilizes a virtual learning community format to assist select EHE jurisdictions in implementing innovative programs, including NASTAD’s TelePrEP E-Learning Collaborative (TLC). NASTAD will utilize materials and feedback from the first two cohorts of the TLC to create a virtual, self-paced e-learning course.

NASTAD’s Status-Neutral Housing Learning Collaborative will follow a similar format and utilize feedback from the first live cohorts to create a virtual, self-paced e-learning course.

Performance Period: Late August 2021 – September 29, 2023. The consultant will work using a cost-reimbursement model based on the negotiated hourly rate throughout the contract period.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Experience/ Education

  • Experience developing online learning collaboratives or e-learning courses
  • Experience developing and tailoring curriculum for e-learning purposes.
  • Familiarity with or knowledge of local and state health department structures and programming
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theory
  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with multiple subject matter experts
  • Comfort working under strict time constraints
  • Comfort working on multiple projects at one time
  • Familiarity with core public health principles and terms
  • Detail focused and goal oriented
  • Experience and specialization in medical provider learning a plus

Environment and Scheduling

  • Interest in working with an HIV and hepatitis public health organization
  • Interest in working within a diverse environment
  • This is a contractual position to be used on an as needed basis to complete contract deliverables. This position is not full-time.
