Virtual Learning Series on Transgender and Gender-Diverse Health – Session 2: Advancing Health and Justice for Trans and Gender-Diverse People

NASTAD, in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Public Health, held the Virtual Learning Series on Transgender and Gender-Diverse Health – Session 2: Advancing Health and Justice for Trans and Gender-Diverse People webinar on January 16th. This is the second in a four-part virtual learning series. It focuses on the historical and cultural context of trans and gender-diverse people and what it means to practice cultural humility in our work with stakeholders and community members. Attendees learn about different levels of stigma and discrimination, including micro-aggressions, macro-aggressions, and structural factors that impact trans health and safety.
