The NASTAD Youth Prevention Program provides programmatic and policy technical assistance (TA) to state and territorial HIV/AIDS programs in a number of youth related issues including the integration of HIV, STD and unintended teen pregnancy prevention for youth, addressing the needs of youth of color, youth in high-risk situations, youth involvement in community planning, and state health and education agency collaboration.


NASTAD collaborates with the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP), the National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD), and the Society of State Directors of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (SSDHPER) to offer national meetings with the goal of strengthening communication and collaboration between State Departments of Education and Health to support and improve HIV, STD, unintended teen pregnancy prevention in schools.
