Appropriations
NASTAD closely tracks federal appropriations for programs that address HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, and STDs such as Ryan White, funding for CDC's HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, and STD prevention programs, Division of Adolescent and School Health, the 317 Vaccine Program, and funding for mental and substance abuse prevention and treatment.

NASTAD works with Congress to develop authorizing legislation responsive to the needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis and provides analysis to state AIDS Directors.
