Legislation
Members of Congress often introduce legislation that affects individuals living with HIV/AIDS and/or hepatitis. NASTAD works with Congress to develop authorizing legislation responsive to the needs of individuals living with HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis and provides analysis to state AIDS Directors.

Regulations
Federal agencies must seek public comment when developing federal rules and regulations. NASTAD tracks regulations related to HIV/AIDS, hepatitis and sexual health education programs. For a daily list of published federal notices please visit the Federal Register.
