Q. Who are NASTAD members?
A.

NASTAD members are individuals with administrative responsibility for HIV/AIDS prevention and care/treatment, including Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) prevention cooperative agreements and Title II of the CARE Act. Increasingly, our members also include STD, viral hepatitis, and surveillance in their management portfolios.

Q. How is membership determined?
A.

Each state or territorial health department is responsible for designating their NASTAD representative. One or two states separate care and prevention representatives, and in these cases, both individuals are invited to participate as full members. (The only limitation is in voting - NASTAD institutes a one state-one vote policy. If you are a new AIDS director, you should contact NASTAD’s Member Services department and the Executive Director to let them know about the change.

Q. Where can I direct my questions?
